Warnings of Reptilian Jinn in Islam

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِِ
“In the name of Allah, the most Gracious, the most Merciful”

I would like to begin with a reflection of a verse from the Holy Qur’an, Sura Al-Amran, verse 79 in which Allah states “It is not conceivable that a human being unto whom God has granted revelation, and sound judgment, and prophethood, should thereafter have said unto people, “Worship me beside God”; but rather [did he exhort them], “Become men of God by spreading the knowledge of the divine writ, and by your own deep study [thereof].” (Muhammad Asad's translation) In that verse God tells us that any Prophet of God would tell us to become men of God by doing two things, by spreading the knowledge of the divine writ and by our own deep study. It is important to note that spreading of the knowledge of the divine writ is accompanied by deep study and is not mentioned alone. The deep study of the Qur’an along with the deep study of the universe created by Allah, it’s creatures and all its sciences completes the faith of a Muslim. The truth of the message of Allah is realized fully only upon reflecting upon Allah’s words (the Qur’an) and through the examination of his creation (the universe and all its creatures and the knowledge therein.) Many scientists and scholars have embraced Islam or have become stronger in faith by realizing Allah’s miracles in his creation. Some however, believe the recitation of the Qur’an along with the following of the traditions of the Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) are enough and that the engagement in conversation surrounding the nature of Allah’s creations and his miracles are a threat to Islam and to Muslims. I find this view rather unfortunate and ponder what the impact would’ve been on Islam if Muslims would’ve publicly discussed the fact that the Qur’an taught us 1400 years ago that the universe is constantly expanding; a fact discovered by scientists in 1929. Only Allah knows all the meanings behind the Suras of the Qur’an and we can only hope to acquire some of the meanings but how can we ever reach any of its meanings if we are not open to discussion? There is a huge difference between discussion and believing and I ask not that we believe in anything unless proven to us by Allah (through the Prophet Muhammed (PBUH), scientific facts prophesized by the Qur’an, etc.) All I ask is that we as a Muslim community engage in healthy discussion and study of the Qur’an so that the wrong may by corrected by the right and so that we may increase in faith, knowledge and wisdom (ISA). So as we begin to examine the topic of this paper, I ask that you keep an open mind, and not take anything in this paper as a threat to Islam but rather as an opportunity to discuss, correct and examine Allah’s divine word.
In almost every religion practiced on Earth today and in so very many ancient religions of the past, we see the reoccuring themes of reptiles being portrayed as Gods or as Demons. The ancient Egyptians worshipped Sobek, a crocodile-god associated with fertility, protection, and the power of the Pharaoh. They would often use spells to appease the crocodiles and keep crocodile pets pampered as a sign of worship. They would also embalm the crocodile when it died just as they would embalm humans. Gukumatz was the feathered serpent god of the Popol Vuh who created humanity according to Maya religion. Serpent reflections were created with the structure of Mayan pyramids and appear in countless Maya myths. The Chinese believe to be the descendants of the inter-marriage of a human and a dragon. This is one of the reasons why unlike the West, the Chinese hold the dragon to high regards and is considered an omen of good luck. One thing to be noted is that in the mentioned traditions, the reptile Gods are always depicted as humanoid, meaning that they are either depicted as humans with reptile heads or they take on human attributes a.k.a. interbreeding with humans, etc. In Western traditions such as Christianity, Judaism and Islam, the reptile (which refers to dragons, serpents and reptiles collectively) play an equally important role, however this time the reptile takes on the completely opposite nature. The reptile is represented in Christianity, Judaism and Islam as demonic, evil and of generally a bad nature.
In Judaism this can be seen in the Hebrew Bible in many places, beginning with the story of Adam and Eve in Genesis where Eve encounters a serpent (often interperted to be Satan although never explicity stated in the Bible) in the garden of Eden. The serpent convinces Eve to disobey God by eating of the tree of knowledge of good and evil resulting in the punishment of God falling on Adam and Eve but also on the serpent, an important aspect to the story not focused on often in churches and synagogues. According to Genesis chapter 3 verses 13-15 “Then the LORD God said to the woman, "What is this that you have done?" The woman said, "The serpent beguiled me, and I ate." The LORD God said to the serpent, "Because you have done this, cursed are you above all cattle, and above all wild animals; upon your belly you shall go, and dust you shall eat all the days of your life. 15: I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; he shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel." There are a few interesting things to note about the above verses, one being the punishment of the serpent, which is God’s cursing of the serpent to crawl on his belly for all of the days of his life. A curse by definition is a negative shift in the state of being of someone or something and is caused by someone else, in this case God. If the God of the Hebrew Bible is an infallible God, he cannot logically curse something to a certain state if that was in fact its original state. Crawling upon its belly is not a shift in the state of being of the serpent if the serpent already crawled upon its belly. The serpent must have had legs prior to the curse. This now presents a much different picture of Genesis’ creation story. The statement of “all the days of your life” also indicates the permanent nature of this curse as well as the mortal status (unlike angels) of this serpent. So for the serpent to be Satan would be impossible because the serpent could not turn around and escape his curse, flying back into the presence of God later throughout the Bible on many occasions to discuss Job and other biblical prophets. He would also not be able to take the image of anything else as he does in many accounts throughout the New Testament. God then further and prior to addressing Adam, goes to say that he will put enmity or hatred between the serpent and the woman and between their seed, stating that the serpent shall bruise the woman’s head and the woman shall bruise his heel. So we are left with a creation of God’s that:

Predated man
Had knowledge of good and evil (otherwise why would he try to lead Eve against God’s will?)
Had free will to disobey God
Had evil intentions of misleading humans
That is opposite of human
That will seek to bruise or damage a human’s head

All of the above characteristics are characteristics of Jinn in Islam:

Another creation of Allah’s that predated man and still exists in the world alongside humans
Has knowledge of good and evil
Has free will just like humans
Some have evil intentions towards humans
Is in many ways opposite to man in nature
The Jinn that seek to harm humans do so by whispering into the ears of humans and corrupting their thoughts

The above characteristics are also characteristics of demons, fallen angels and Satan in Christianity and Judaism. Leviathan meaning "twisted or coiled” was a Biblical sea monster referred to in the Old Testament (Psalm 74:13-14; Job 41; Isaiah 27:1). This sea monster is described as a dragon and as a serpent.
In the Christian Gospels, Satan tempts Jesus while taking the form of a snake. In Revelation 12:3, an enormous red beast with seven heads is described, whose tail sweeps one third of the stars from heaven down to earth (held to be symbolic of the fall of the angels, though not commonly held among biblical scholars). In most translations, the word "dragon" is used to describe the beast, since in the original Greek the word used is drakon. In iconography, some Catholic saints are depicted in the act of killing a dragon. This is one of the common aspects of Saint George in Egyptian Coptic iconography, on the coat of arms of Moscow, and in English and Catalan legend. In Italy, Saint Mercurialis, first bishop of the city of Forlì, is also depicted slaying a dragon. Saint Julian of Le Mans, Saint Veran, Saint Crescentinus, Saint Margaret of Antioch, Saint Martha, and Saint Leonard of Noblac were also venerated as dragon-slayers. However, some say that dragons were good, before they fell from grace, as humans did from the Garden of Eden after Adam and Eve's Original Sin was committed. Also contributing to the good dragon argument in Christianity is the fact that, if they did exist, they were created as were any other creature, as seen in Dragons In Our Midst, a contemporary Christian book series by author Bryan Davis.
So with the Christian image of the serpent or dragon we can draw the following:
1. Demons or Satan can take the form of a serpent or reptile
2. They try to attack human psyche by temptation
3. The Beast of the End Times is described as a Serpent
4. The Saints (followers of Jesus) are depicted as being in opposition to the serpents
5. In some Christian beliefs they predate humans as a creation
6. In some Christian beliefs they have free will

There are already striking similarities between the characteristics between the Christian and Judeo descriptions of these reptilian creatures. And as with the previous noted characteristics in Judaism, the characterisitics attributed to these reptiles have all the characterisitics of Jinn in Islam. Now in order to support my claims that the Jinn in Islam have the same characteristics as described with Judaism and Christianity and listed above I present the following Hadith:
In regards to Jinn taking the form of snakes: “The jinn are of three types: a type that has wings, and they fly through the air; a type that looks like snakes and dogs; and a type that stops for a rest then resumes its journey.” Authenticated by Al-Haakim and Adh-Dhahabee (Al-Mustadrak, 3702) and by Al-Albaanee (Saheeh-ul-Jaami`, 3114; Al-Mishkaah, 4076).
In regards to Jinn seeking to harm humans by whispering thoughts of doubt into their psyche: “The Shaitaan (Devil) comes to one of you and says: ‘Who created you?’ And he says ‘Allaah.’ Then the Shaitaan says, ‘Who created Allaah?’ If that happens to any one of you, let him say, Aamantu billaahi wa Rusoolihee (I believe in Allaah and His Messenger). Then that will go away from him.” Authenticated by Al-Albaanee (As-Saheehah, 116) and Shu`aib Al-Arna’oot (Musnad Ahmad, 26246).
In regards to Jinn being of free will, some good and some evil: The Holy Qur’an: 46.29 “Behold, We turned towards thee a company of Jinns (quietly) listening to the Qur'an: when they stood in the presence thereof, they said, "Listen in silence!" When the (reading) was finished, they returned to their people, to warn (them of their sins).
In regards to the mortality of Jinn: The Holy Qur’an 41.25 ”And We have destined for them intimate companions (of like nature), who made alluring to them what was before them and behind them; and the sentence among the previous generations of Jinns and men, who have passed away, is proved against them; for they are utterly lost.”
In regards to the ill will some Jinns have towards humans and the opposition that would naturally exist between human and some Jinn: The Holy Qur’an 72.6 “True, there were persons among mankind who took shelter with persons among the Jinns, but they increased them in folly.”
Now that we established the similarities between Jinn and the characteristics of the reptile creations of the Bible, let’s look at a couple of very interesting hadiths of the Prophet (PBUH) concerning reptiles:
Narrated 'Abdullah: “While we were in the company of the Prophet in a cave at Mina, when Surat-wal-Mursalat were revealed and he recited it and I heard it (directly) from his mouth as soon as he recited its revelation. Suddenly a snake sprang at us and the Prophet said (ordered us): "Kill it." We ran to kill it but it escaped quickly. The Prophet said, "It has escaped your evil and you too have escaped its evil." Volume 3, Book 29, Number 56
This hadith is very important to examine because you have the snake attempting to attack the Prophet (PBUH) and his companions when the revelations were recited thus further showing an evil opposing nature that the reptile possesses. You also have the Prophet describing it as evil and ordering the companions to kill the snake thus leading to a parallel image of the companions of the Prophet (PBUH) being in opposition or seeking to kill the snake and the saints of Christianity being depicted as dragon slayers or as killing the serpent.
Narrated Um Sharik: “Allah's Apostle ordered that the salamander should be killed and said, "It (i.e. the salamander) blew (the fire) on Abraham." Volume 4, Book 55, Number 579
Narrated 'Aisha the wife of the Prophet: “Allah's Apostle called the salamander a bad animal, but I did not hear him ordering it to be killed." Volume 3, Book 29, Number 57

The above two Hadith are examples of the Prophet (PBUH) condemning in both cases the salamander and in one case the Prophet (PBUH) is commanding its death. The more important thing to note here is the linking of the Salamander to fire and the blowing of the fire on Abraham. Assuming the meaning of “blowing” was “to increase” the fire, the salamander is seen as somehow being in control of the fire unlike other creatures, for its blowing would cause a difference. The salamander is mentioned in the Talmud (Hagiga 27a) as a creature that is a product of fire, and anyone who is smeared with its blood will be immune to harm from fire. Rashi (1040–1105), the primary commentator on the Talmud, describes the salamander as one which is produced by burning a fire in the same place for seven years.
Leonardo Divinci wrote about the Salamander "This has no digestive organs, and gets no food but from the fire, in which it constantly renews its scaly skin. The salamander, which renews its scaly skin in the fire,—for virtue." Later, Paracelsus (1493-1541) suggested that the salamander was the elemental of fire, which has had substantial influence on the role of salamanders in the occult. Early travelers to China were shown garments supposedly woven from salamander hair ot wool; the cloth was completely unharmed by fire. The garments had actually been woven from asbestos. According to T. H. White, Prester John had a robe made from it; the "Emperor of India" possessed a suit made from a thousand skins; and Pope Alexander III had a tunic which he valued highly. William Caxton (1481) wrote: "This Salemandre berithe wulle, of which is made cloth and gyrdles that may not brenne in the fyre." Holme (1688) wrote: "...I have several times put [salamander hair] in the Fire and made it red hot and after taken it out, which being cold, yet remained perfect wool."
The name salamander has been attached to heaters, ovens and the like in allusion to the firey nature of the legendary salamander. A variety of portable forced-air or convection heaters are called salamander heaters or just salamanders. A salamander is also a kind of small broiler/grill, most frequently found in a professional kitchen, used to finish off dishes, such as caramelizing the sugar on a crème brulee. This is also called a salamander oven, a salamander broiler/grill, or a cheesemelter. The name is also give to a kitchen tool of similar purpose, consisting of a long iron rod with a cast-iron disk at one end and a wooden handle at the other; the disk is heated over a burner until red-hot and then used to brown the top of foods.
The salamander became a symbol of enduring faith which triumphs over the fires of passion. It was the badge of Francis I of France, with the motto, "I nourish [the good] and extinguish [the bad]." It appears in the arms of Le Havre, Fontainebleau and others. The salamander became the traditional emblem of the smith, and thus appears in a number of civic arms to symbolise local metal-working industries. It appears in the arms of Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council as well as the old County Borough Council. In the crest of the arms of Spennymoor Town Council, the Shafto family's salamander also holds a sword to represent the local steel industry. Some insurance companies use the salamander in their arms, a clear reference to its fire-fighting attributes. In this sense, the salamander also lent its name to the Alvis Salamander airport crash tender. In Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451, the salamander and the phoenix were the symbols of the firemen (although in this case these were book burners rather than firefighters).
Salamanders may actively defend themselves once they are grasped by a predator. Besides various antipredator postures, S. salamandra adults are able to extrude heavy toxic skin secretions, e.g. the neurotoxic alkaloid Samandarin. This alkaloid causes strong muscle convulsions and high-blood pressure combined with hyperventilation in all vertebrates. The poison glands of the Fire salamander are concentrated in certain areas of the body, especially around the head and the dorsal skin surface.
As if the connections between the Salamander and fire seen clearly throughout many cultures and throughout various points in history weren’t odd enough, salamanders do not live in Saudi Arabia or most of the middle east. Salamanders in fact reside throughout Europe, North America, parts of South America, and parts of Asia. The point being here is that if either Sahih Bukhari Hadith is valid then one must ask why would the Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) make a condemnation of a creature that didn’t even live anywhere in the region?! Furthermore why would he relate him to fire as well?
According to The Holy Qur’an verse 55.15 “And He created Jinns from fire free of smoke” we have another connection clearly identified between Jinn and fire. As we were created from clay or in other words, our nature being the Earth, Jinn were created from smokeless fire. Fire is one of the classical elements and is represented by a triangle. It is also the lower right hand element on a Pentagram, a star symbol used in the occult, various pagan religions and the even the Masons. An upside pentagram as used in Satanism would actually put the tip of the star which is represented by God down and bring the element of fire up.
The tetrahedron represents the classical element fire. A tetrahedron is a polyhedron with four triangular faces or in other words a 3 dimensional pyramid. The volume of any tetrahedron, given its vertices a, b, c and d, is (1/6). An equilateral triangle base and isosceles (and non-equilateral) triangle sides gives 6 isometries, corresponding to the 6 isometries of the base. As permutations of the vertices, these 6 isometries are the identity 1, (123), (132), (12), (13) and (23), forming the symmetry group C3v, isomorphic to S3. S times 3 or SSS is a symbol used by many occultists and most recently highlighted on the news in the case of the followers of José Luis de Jesús Miranda who founded the Creciendo en Gracia (Growing In Grace International Ministry, Inc.) a ministry that teaches the doctrine of Grace. De Jesus' followers believe that he is the reincarnation of God on Earth, a point which he emphasizes by referring to himself as the Antichrist and by exhibiting a "666" and “SSS” tattoo on his forearms.
The tetrahedron shape is seen in nature in covalent bonds of molecules. For instance in a methane molecule (CH4) the four hydrogen atoms lie in each corner of a tetrahedron with the carbon atom in the centre. For this reason, one of the leading journals in organic chemistry is called Tetrahedron. Methane is a chemical compound with the molecular formula CH4. It is the simplest alkane, and the principal component of natural gas. Burning one molecule of methane in the presence of oxygen releases one molecule of CO2 (carbon dioxide) and two molecules of H2O. The boiling point of Methane is −161.6 °C (111.55 K, -258.88 °F). Early in the Earth's history, about 3.5 billion years ago, there was 1,000 times as much methane in the atmosphere as there is now. The earliest methane was released into the atmosphere by volcanic activity. During this time, Earth's earliest life appeared. These first, ancient bacteria added to the methane concentration by converting hydrogen and carbon dioxide into methane and water. Oxygen did not become a major part of the atmosphere until photosynthetic organisms evolved later in Earth's history. With no oxygen, methane stayed in the atmosphere longer and at higher concentrations than it does today.
Of all reptiles, the most feared and perhaps least well known are the crocodilians, which includes 22 species of crocodiles, alligators, caimans and gharials. They, like the turtles, were contemporaries of the dinosaurs. As primitive as they look, they are actually the most advanced of all reptiles, and are in fact more closely related to birds than to lizards. They have a more efficient circulatory system; they are more intelligent; and they are way more attentive of their young. The most interesting thing about crocodilian offspring is that it is truly God who decides the male and female. We know that's true for everything, but in this case, the sex of the offspring is determined by temperature, not by chromosomes. When the egg is laid, its sex has not been decided. Temperatures during the first half of incubation will determine the sex of each individual. In the American alligator, high temperature creates males, low temperature makes females, but in the crocodile high and low temperatures create females, only intermediate temperature makes males. A small difference in temperature-One or two degrees-makes a marked difference in sex ratio. Within a nest, all may be the same sex or the temperature may vary enough to have all females in the lower layer of eggs and all males above or vice versa. So just like Jinn, crocodiles in a sense literally are created from and depending on smokeless fire or temperature.

Abu Sa'id al-Khudri reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: You would tread the same path as was trodden by those before you inch by inch and step by step so much so that if they had entered into the hole of the lizard, you would follow them in this also. We said: Allah's Messenger, do you mean Jews and Christians (by your words)" those before you"? He said: Who else (than those two religious groups)? Book 034, Number 6448

027.082 YUSUFALI: And when the Word is fulfilled against them (the unjust), we shall produce from the earth a beast to (face) them: He will speak to them, for that mankind did not believe with assurance in Our Signs.

Volume 1, Book 12, Number 740:
Narrated Ibn 'Abbas:
The Prophet set out with the intention of going to Suq 'Ukaz (market of 'Ukaz) along with some of his companions. At the same time, a barrier was put between the devils and the news of heaven. Fire commenced to be thrown at them. The Devils went to their people, who asked them, "What is wrong with you?" They said, "A barrier has been placed between us and the news of heaven. And fire has been thrown at us." They said, "The thing which has put a barrier between you and the news of heaven must be something which has happened recently. Go eastward and westward and see what has put a barrier between you and the news of heaven." Those who went towards Tuhama came across the Prophet at a place called Nakhla and it was on the way to Suq 'Ukaz and the Prophet was offering the Fajr prayer with his companions. When they heard the Qur'an they listened to it and said, "By Allah, this is the thing which has put a barrier between us and the news of heaven." They went to their people and said, "O our people; verily we have heard a wonderful recital (Qur'an) which shows the true path; we believed in it and would not ascribe partners to our Lord." Allah revealed the following verses to his Prophet (Sura 'Jinn') (72): "Say: It has been revealed to me." And what was revealed to him was the conversation of the Jinns.

Finally, some one could see the reptilian connection, and explain it so well while staying safely within the barriers of the Qur'an and the hadith. Well done, a great read.

Why ask ppl to not take offense then say "correct" Allah's divine words?

I enjoyed reading this greatly. That bit about crocs being like Jinns was quite interesting to me.

So the Anunnaki are reptilian jinns that's relic from age of dinosaurs that during their wars that put Dinosaurs to Extinction, they're decided to take over the Omniverse with their technologies
